The Mod House In Ellenville wedding that ditched tradition, cranked the music, poured another drink, and turned into the best house party you’ve ever been to.

Lindsay and Nick didn’t want a wedding that felt stiff or overly curated. They wanted something real, something loud, something that felt like them. And The Mod House in Ellenville, NY understood the assignment.
From the second guests arrived, it felt less like a ceremony and more like stepping into someone’s insanely cool home for a party that just happened to include vows. Drinks were flowing, laughter was loud, and the energy was effortless — exactly how a wedding should feel.

Tucked into the Catskills, The Mod House is a mid-century modern dream. Originally designed in the 1960s by a disciple of Frank Lloyd Wright, the space is all clean lines, warm wood, glass walls, and architectural soul.
It’s the kind of venue that doesn’t need dressing up — it already is the vibe. Fashion-forward, chic, retro, and editorial without trying too hard. It feels cool in that way you can’t fake.

This venue isn’t for couples who want cookie-cutter. It’s for couples who want something different — something that feels personal, intentional, and unapologetically bold.
Lindsay and Nick wanted their wedding to feel like the best house party anyone had ever been to, and they absolutely nailed it. Nothing felt forced. Nothing felt traditional for tradition’s sake. It was about connection, comfort, and celebrating in a way that felt natural to them.

Everything about this day leaned into personality. Color showed up in all the right places. Style felt relaxed but intentional. The whole thing felt editorial without losing the heart behind it.
Lindsay’s earrings literally spelled out “Nick.” No explanation needed. No subtlety required. Just love, front and center.

One of the most meaningful details? The cake.
Lindsay painted the design herself, turning it into a true extension of their story. The cake came from a bakery in Pennsylvania that Nick’s family has been ordering his birthday cakes from for most of his life. His dad picked it up and drove it all the way to New York — a small gesture that somehow said everything.
These are the kinds of details that matter. The ones that make a wedding feel lived-in, loved, and deeply personal.

This wedding wasn’t about perfection. It was about meaning. About creating a space where everyone felt comfortable enough to let loose, dance hard, laugh louder, and stay awhile.
No stiff timelines. No pressure to perform. Just people being fully present — and that’s where the magic lives.

Lindsay and Nick proved that when you trust your instincts and lean fully into who you are, the result isn’t just beautiful — it’s unforgettable.
This wasn’t a wedding trying to impress anyone.
It was a wedding that felt like home.
