A Chicago Union Station wedding is always iconic, but Gabby and Will’s celebration brought something completely unique to the city. Their day blended classic Chicago elegance with subtle emo nostalgia, creating a wedding that felt both luxurious and deeply personal. From getting ready at the historic JW Marriott Chicago to portraits at Union Station and a lively reception at Galleria Marchetti, their wedding day was a perfect mix of timeless style and expressive personality.
For couples dreaming of a Chicago wedding with iconic architecture, elegant venues, and a little edge, this celebration is the perfect inspiration.

Gabby started her wedding morning at the JW Marriott Chicago, a stunning historic hotel located in the heart of downtown. Known for its grand architecture and luxurious suites, the JW Marriott offers beautiful natural light and elegant interiors that make it a perfect getting ready location for a Chicago wedding day.
Inside the suite, the energy was joyful and emotional. Gabby shared the morning with her bridesmaids and her mom, and one of the most meaningful details was the jewelry they all wore. Gabby’s mom actually designed the earrings worn by Gabby and her bridesmaids, adding a sentimental and custom element to the day.
Gabby wore a breathtaking gown from LBR Bridal, designed byEva Lendel, which paired beautifully with her bold and expressive personality. With glam by Glam Atelier, her bridal look perfectly captured the overall aesthetic of the day. Elegant, modern, and just a little bit edgy.

One of the highlights of the day was photographing portraits at Union Station, one of the most recognizable and dramatic wedding photo locations in Chicago.
Union Station is famous for its soaring columns, marble floors, and cinematic architecture. The space creates a timeless and grand backdrop that feels straight out of a classic film. For Gabby and Will, the contrast of their modern black and white wedding style against the historic architecture created truly striking images.
Chicago couples often choose Union Station for wedding portraits because it offers:
• Iconic Chicago architecture
• Grand indoor spaces with beautiful light
• A timeless and editorial atmosphere
Gabby and Will’s portraits here captured both elegance and personality, reflecting their unique style as a couple.

After portraits around downtown Chicago, the celebration continued at Galleria Marchetti, one of the city’s most beloved wedding venues.
Located just minutes from downtown, Galleria Marchetti is known for its romantic garden spaces and stunning indoor reception hall. The venue offers couples the perfect combination of ceremony space, beautiful reception design, and an incredible party atmosphere.
Gabby and Will chose Galleria Marchetti because it perfectly matched the mood they envisioned. Elegant but fun. Romantic but energetic.
Their ceremony was especially memorable. Gabby walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance, a subtle nod to her emo roots that still felt incredibly romantic.
Another personal detail that made the ceremony unforgettable was Gabby’s vows. She wrote them inside her old composition notebook diary that once held teenage emo scribbles about boys. It was nostalgic, heartfelt, and perfectly reflective of her journey to this moment.

The reception at Galleria Marchetti truly brought the celebration to life.
The floral design by Your Day Florals added lush elegance throughout the space, while the cake from Vanille Patisserie served as a beautiful centerpiece of the reception design. Guests danced the night away thanks to Big Sand Productions, who kept the energy high all evening.
But the most unforgettable moment came near the end of the night.
Gabby grabbed the microphone and serenaded the entire room with Welcome to the Black Parade, turning the reception into a full celebration of personality, nostalgia, and joy. It was the perfect ending to a wedding that embraced both elegance and individuality.

Chicago offers some of the most iconic wedding locations in the country, from historic hotels to architectural landmarks like Union Station and incredible venues like Galleria Marchetti.
