Chelsea & Evan‘s Dallas wedding at The Hall On Dragon was chic, luxurious and so party-centric. Their attention to detail was insane, they wanted their main attraction to be the reception and let me tell you it was BOMB! The day started out uber chic, and then it turned into the best party of the century!
The Hall On Dragon Wedding Venue
The Hall On Dragon sits right on the Heart of the Design District in Dallas. This location is a mix of contemporary and modern design and it offers a clean, sleek look. The atmosphere of this Dallas wedding venue is described as extraordinary and it will leave your guests saying “WOW!” In other words, you know that you won’t be settling for ordinary at the location. This is the exact feeling and ambiance that Chelsea & Evan wanted for their guests.
Chic Wedding Getting Ready Session
For their wedding, the couple booked the chic-est Air-bnb. Seriously, this air-bnb looked like straight out of home and design magazine. Every inch of the location had contemporary decor, and the pieces were so unique! On top of that, this air-bnb gave Chelsea & Evan designated spaces to get ready. Chelsea’s style is elegant, modern, with a hint of fun. Evan’s was classic, simple, and modern. I knew it was going to be the chic-est bride and groom getting ready session, and it was! Check out the photos we took from the getting ready robes, to Chelsea getting her gown on for the first time, Evan’s time with his groomsmen, and much more!
First Looks Sessions
Chelsea emphasized how special her bridesmaids were to her and she wanted to have a first look with her bridesmaids outside, and the reveal was priceless. You could really feel the love among all of them and what an honor to capture this moment for her. Then we headed back inside to meet Evan in the main living room for their first looks. This living room was the most chic, moody design. The room was painted black and it was stunning and so unique. This color allowed the photos to focus on the couple versus how the room looked. When Evan saw Chelsea, he lit up and for a moment it was just them two and nothing else. Then Evan presented a gift to Chelsea, diamond bracelets to wear to her the big day – it was her something new. These photos came out stunningly editorial and uber romantic!
Luxury Wedding Portraits
We stayed in this ulta chic living room and took some indoor bride and groom portraits. The dark walls and minimal decor really elevated these wedding portraits. These shots were giving editorial luxury chic vibes and I was here for it! We also utilized the outdoors and took candid and classic portraits as well.
A Very Large Chic Wedding Party
Chelsea and Evan had very large wedding parties; nevertheless, we had a ball taking wedding party photos. The party was full of energy, and ready to celebrate the almost Mr. & Mrs. Hicks! The bridesmaids wore black maxi length dresses, and the groomsmen wore classic all black tuxedos. We took a variation of full party, bridesmaids, and groomsmen shots. Check them out below!
A Simply Chic Wedding
As noted earlier, The Hall On Dragon, is a sleek, clean and modern location. The ceremony decor was minimal and chic. There were white rose pedals that covered aisle and it led to the beautiful arch of white roses. The ceremony was sweet, simple, and full of love. This theme carried on into the reception. The tables were lightly decorated with candles and white rose centerpieces. The saying, “less is more” was applied here for this wedding.
If you could hear Chelsea and Evan reception:
Party-centric Wedding Reception
This couple prioritized the party and wanted the wedding reception to be the main attraction of the day. Once the lovely toasts were completed, the cake was cut, it was time to kick the heels off (literally!) and dance the night away! Chelsea changed into a strapless dress with a fur hem line and sneakers! Their reception was two words: vivacious and EPIC! There was a live band, a grand champagne tower, flower crowns, lap dances, and the bride diving into the crowd! Let’s just say this wedding was deemed the wedding of the century!
