Grace & Taylor had a colorful spring wedding in Texas Hill Country at the beautiful Sacred Oaks At Camp Lucy venue. I love Austin, Texas and this is one of my favorite venues to capture weddings. This wedding had so many colorful wedding ideas; keep scrolling to be inspired and in awe of their color tones, and just feel their utter joy and happiness on their wedding day.
Fun fact: I went to high school with the groom (Taylor!) and got to shoot his proposal back in October of 2022 which was the first time I had seen him since we graduated in 2013.
The Sacred Oaks At Camp Lucy is one-of-a-kind wedding venue that offers artistically detailed surroundings that are perfect for a storybook and elegant wedding. The heritage oaks is a stunning outdoor ceremony space and it features a great hall with beautiful timbers for speculator receptions. I could go on and on about this space, but I will let the photos do the talking!
This is one wedding trend I will never get tired of – celebrating a life moment with COLOR! Grace’s love of color comes from her vibrant and lively personality. The wedding colors were of pinks, reds, blues, and purples. The color combinations were electrifying; they were used to make colorful wedding bouquets, colorful wedding decor, and the bridesmaids wore colorful unique wedding dresses. Even the guests were encouraged to go bold, and they didn’t disappoint! Check out the photos below for bold and colorful wedding ideas.
The bride, Grace, wore her late grandmother’s earrings. She also wore a tiara, and donned some colorful wedding nails. During their wedding portrait session, the couple brought some Llamas! Yes, I said Llamas! Instead of doing a traditional reception entrance they did a Second Line march from cocktail hour into the reception space as a nod to Grace being from Louisiana. The whole wedding party had purple umbrellas and partied like it was Mardi Gras! Lastly, they had oranges acting as wedding table name cards. All of these ideas were unique, fun, thoughtful, and distinctive. I love when couples go to their own beat of their drum and have their eccentric wedding of their dreams!
What’s more, I shot Grace’s bachelorette party in New Orleans! This is such a creative wedding add on. We had a blast shooting her last night as a single woman! Stay tuned for the blog post on that – if you are interested in adding this to your wedding package, I’d be happy to connect with you and make it happen!
I am so happy that I got to reconnect with Taylor, meet the love of this life and meet their wonderful family and friends on this beautiful day. Congratulations to this gorgeous couple!
