It’s not lost on me how much of a privilege it is to be chosen to capture some of the best nights of people’s lives, whether that’s playing a sold out stadium or saying “I do” to your person. With a background in concert photography I end up shooting weddings in a very similar way that I do shows - by embracing being a fly on the wall and striving to capture every epic, fleeting moment throughout the day. Whether it’s grandma shedding a tear at the ceremony or your best man ripping his pants on the dance floor - I’m there to capture it all while being your ultimate hype woman along the way!

We had the pleasure of having Madison fly out to Las Vegas to capture our engagement photos and then again for our wedding. She was recommended to us by one of my best friends and it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. She captured every moment and every detail beautifully. We hired Madison sort of last-minute for our wedding photos at our home, which was a literal construction site. She was able to capture the sweetness and intimacy of our tiny ceremony, plus the roughness of the building site, and you can't even tell that it was literally 100 degrees out. We all felt like we were dying, so she kept it short and sweet, while remaining professional and getting everything we needed. She came back to our home several months later, when things were a little more built (still not a complete home, though!) and grabbed pictures of our wedding reception. It was such a fun night, and we ended up with hundreds of candid pictures of our family and friends having the best time! I feel so blessed and thankful that she was able to work with our schedule and be there both days.

With my roots in concert photography I’ve found I approach wedding days in a very similar way that I do shows. I joke all the time that I’m really just a professional fly on the wall - being able to anticipate moments has become a skill I’ve honed from years of shooting concerts and carry with me on wedding days. I end up spending 90% of my time at weddings standing back and capturing all of those epic fleeting moments organically and without interruption. After all, that’s really what makes your day yours. Not perfectly curated and overly posed, “just for the gram” photos. I try my best to stray away from the “okay and now kiss” prompts, we can do better than that…
because who doesn't want to feel authentically badass in their wedding photos?
